The building will be an exemplar of best practice in the design, construction, and management of inclusive and sustainable environments. It will incorporate the latest technology for intelligent buildings and be environmentally sensitive.
It will consist of teaching rooms, a conference center, exhibition space, fully accessible residential accommodation, and a building laboratory for carrying out full-scale building research and development together with ancillary research accommodation.
In educational terms, the building will act as the equivalent of a Teaching Hospital for the Construction Industry by providing a meeting place between Research, Postgraduate Teaching, and Enterprise.
This project was developed by the members of E&E Architects.
